How We Met

Our story begins like many modern love stories do — online. But what started with a simple "hello" on a matrimony website quickly became something extraordinary.

June 8th in Nashville. June 9th in Singapore. The 13-hour time difference meant that when Venkat was ending his day, Vaishnavi's was just getting started. But somehow, we made it work. Late nights for him, lazy afternoons for her — our calls stretched for hours, filled with laughter, dreams, and the kind of conversations where time simply disappears.

We connected on levels we didn't expect — both data scientists, both from Tamil Nadu, both driven by similar life goals and a shared sense of spirituality. We discovered that despite being 13,000 kilometers apart, we saw the world through remarkably similar eyes.

But we're also beautifully different. Venkat, the wanderer who had lived away from home for over a decade, exploring new places at every opportunity. Vaishnavi, who had always been close to home, yet carried within her a spirit ready to explore the world. He's the early morning hiker. She loves to hangout with her friends. Together, we balance each other perfectly.

In August, Venkat took the most important flight of his life — not to explore a new country, but to meet the person who had already captured his heart. Our first date at MacRitchie Trail confirmed what we already knew — this was real.

October brought another flight, this time to meet the family. And by November, we were engaged — a whirlwind that felt less like rushing and more like finally finding home.
